Aloe Vera Plant Delivery FAQ:

Can you send Aloe Vera Plants in the mail?

Yes, many Aloe Vera plant nurseries and specialist succulent stores use a range of innovative methods to carefully send cactus in the mail. Smaller, baby aloe plants are often shipped bare-root, wrapped in a paper towel with the whole plant wrapped in a protective layer such as newspaper.

Larger Aloe Vera plants require special packaging boxes that protect their overall structure in transit. In addition, many plant shops and nurseries will often ship on Mondays and Tuesdays only to minimize the chance of a cactus plant being held over the weekend.

Do Aloe Vera Plants need sunlight?

Yes, all Aloe Vera plants need a regular source of sunlight to help them grow and stay healthy both indoors and outdoors. If you’re keeping Aloe plants indoors we recommend looking for a window ledge (preferably south-facing if possible) or somewhere in your home or office where the aloe plant has it least moderate to bright prevailing light conditions throughout the day. At a minimum try to ensure your aloe plant receives at least 4 to 6 hours of sunlight per day.

How do I know if my Aloe Plant is healthy?

Healthy Aloe Vera plants maintain consistency in terms of color and texture throughout the aloe plant. Fading of colors, burnt leaves, sagging, or leaning in a particular direction may indicate over or under watering, lack of light, or inappropriate temperatures.

How do you tell if an Aloe Vera Plant is over or underwatered?

As a simple, general rule of thumb, an overwatered Aloe Vera plant often looks a little bloated (which can lead to root-rot) whilst the tell-tale signs of an underwatered Aloe plant is a generally pale, non-vibrant color, and drooping leaves.

There are a number of factors to consider when determining an appropriate watering cycle for your Aloe Vera plants. This includes the soil type (how quickly it drains and it’s the ability to retain moisture), the position of the Aloe plant relative to light (which provides heat), and the general ambient temperature and relative humidity where the Aloe plant lives. Additionally, Aloe plants require less watering in winter and more during spring through summer months.
